Our goal
There has never been more data in the history of mankind. Every day, we generate roughly 2.5 quintillion bytes of data (a quintillion has 18 zeros). This number will only get exponentially bigger as technology intertwines further into our daily lives.
We need a way to understand all this data. That’s why data science and computer science are two of the fastest growing careers.
However, what most people don’t realize is that at the core of machine learning, data science, and computer science is one fundamental subject: Statistics.
Our mission
Knowing coding languages is understanding the what behind Computer Science. Mastering Statistics is grasping the how behind Computer Science, and will accelerate the learning curve of any aspiring computer scientists.
On this platform, we will provide primers on interesting statistics concepts, explore how statistics impact computer science & data science, and do deep dives on how statistics can be applied to many fields of studies.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Priyankaa Nigam
Priyankaa is a current Junior at Westview High School in San Diego, CA. She is passionate about making a real impact in her community. To that end, she has tutored refugee students in English & Math, led food and clothing drives, and volunteered with elders with dementia through Compass 4 Humanity, a non-profit she co-founded.
When she is not working on this venture and her nonprofit, Priyankaa can be found either knitting, baking new desserts, or practicing gymnastics.
